Humanity’s heroic search for self-knowledge requires freedom of thought and freedom of expression, so that the truth of our Human Condition may be discovered and articulated. The childish Left Wing’s constant attempts to give up on humanity’s search for knowledge, and to live in a cowardly FakeSmile PretendUtopia—characterised by enforced conformity and no potentially offensive freedoms—is the pathway to humanity’s ignorant doom.
At the core of the risk-free society is a self-indulgent failure of nerve.
When the human condition is finally demystified, human insecurity and nervousness will be at a maximum…for this ultimate enlightenment to be allowed, society is going to have to adhere scrupulously to the democratic principle of freedom of expression.

Whoever would overthrow the liberty of a nation must begin by subduing the freeness of speech.
One of the most dangerous trends of our times is making the truth socially unacceptable, or even illegal, with ‘hate speech’ laws.
All censorships exist to prevent anyone from challenging current conceptions and existing institutions. All progress is initiated by challenging current conceptions, and executed by supplanting existing institutions. Consequently, the first condition of progress is the removal of censorship.
Here’s freedom to them that would speak,
Here’s freedom to them that would write,
There’s none ever feared that the truth should be heard,
But they whom the truth would indict.
Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
To suppress free speech is a double wrong. It violates the rights of the hearer as well as those of the speaker. It is just as criminal to rob a man of his right to speak and hear as it would be to rob him of his money.
When I was a young officer in 1979, I toured what was known as ‘The Killing Fields’ in Cambodia. This is the area where the Khmer Rouge killed off nearly a quarter of the Cambodian population, something like 1.9 million people in just a few years. My guide told me that they started by rounding up all of the teachers. They wanted to extinguish free thought, and the spark of questioning and dissent. Because, to a Totalitarian dictator, an open and inquisitive mind is more dangerous even than a Marine with a rifle.
Speech is controlled by political correctness. Someone behind the scenes decides what is acceptable and what is not, what is desirable or not, and even what is permissible. You make one ‘mistake’ and you are out; from the teaching positions at the universities, or from the media outlets. In such conditions, humor cannot thrive, and satire dies. It is not unlike religious fundamentalism: you get destroyed if you ‘offend’. In such circumstances, writers cannot write ground-breaking novels, because true novels offend by definition, and always push the boundaries. As a result, almost nobody reads novels, anymore.
We remember this eternal truth: Freedom is not a gift from government. Freedom is a gift from God.
